French President Francois Hollande on Monday stood firm on Iran nuclear deal, urging Tehran to assume responsibility to end the controversial uranium enrichment.

In an interview with the news channel BFMTV, France's top official, in an official visit to Israel, warned that Iran's pursuit of nuclear arm would put the world's security in danger.

"No way for Iran to have access to nuclear weapon... It will be a direct threat for the security not only for Israel but also for the whole world...The international community does not want proliferation," Hollande said.

France, which opposed easing of economic sanctions against Iran until the country will concretely stop its nuclear program, asked Iranians to assume their responsibility by offering guarantee that they definitely renounce their pursuit of nuclear weapon.

"France was seeking with its partners a deal that set several points preventing Iran to have access to nuclear weapons. If it accepts these conditions an agreement will be found and it will be good for the whole world," French president added.

Iran has been a target of UN sanctions due to its alleged attempts of building nuclear weapons. The West accuses Iran of developing nuclear weapons under cover of civilian nuclear programs, which Iran denied.
